Position Description:
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, communicating with, scheduling, and coordinating volunteers on the construction site and in the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. The Volunteer Coordinator supports the Program Director, Project Manager and ReStore Manager.

Essential Functions & Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work with the Partner Engagement Specialist to develop and implement strategies to recruit volunteers through various channels, including online platforms, community outreach and networking events.
- Respond to all volunteer inquiries.
- Schedule volunteers to meet the needs of construction and ReStore staff.
- Set up and maintain volunteer events in VolunteerLocal.
- Work with the Project Manager to update the volunteer schedule each week.
- Communicate with volunteer team leaders each week.
- Work with the ReStore Manager as needed for changes to the volunteer calendar.
- Ensure that volunteer liability waivers are signed and filed.
- Maintain volunteer contact information in NetSuite. Enter volunteer hours.
Basic Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Previous experience in volunteer management, community organizing, or non-profit work is preferred.
- Enjoys working with people.
- Team player and able to work with all age groups.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Comfortable with Microsoft computer programs and web-based platforms.
- Database management experience: the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with and among diverse populations and personalities.
- Flexibility to adapt to a changing and dynamic work environment.
- Commitment to Habitat for Humanity’s mission and core values.
