Position Description:
Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity operates in Black Hawk, Butler, Bremer, and Buchanan counties, bringing communities together to build and repair homes, fostering hope and transformation. Committed to its mission, the affiliate aims to raise awareness and garner support through strategic initiatives and collaborations.
The Marketing Coordinator plays a pivotal role in executing strategic plans to enhance Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity's visibility and support for its initiatives, including the ReStore. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and adeptness at managing multiple tasks and deadlines. From event support to social media management, this position actively contributes to the affiliate's outreach efforts.

Essential Functions & Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate marketing projects from concept through completion, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate video production efforts with internal staff and external vendors, ensuring projects align with organizational goals, brand standards, and production timelines.
- Collaborate with vendors to produce promotional materials and coordinate mailings.
- Collaborate across the Habitat team to provide innovative solutions for recruitment of donors, volunteers and event attendees.
- Partner with ReStore staff to integrate the mission message, drive awareness, and promote sales through social and promotional campaigns.
- Update and analyze weekly and monthly marketing reports tracking social, email, and website performance.
- Develop and maintain the social media content calendar, scheduling posts for optimal engagement.
- Maintain the organization’s website, ensuring content accuracy, relevance, and timely revisions.
- Collect, develop, and write participant stories to support marketing and outreach materials.
- Coordinate event promotion efforts, including planning marketing campaigns and supporting on-site marketing activities during events.
- Capture visual content at various Habitat activities for use in marketing materials.
- Maintain the marketing asset library, including logos, brand guidelines, and media resources.
- Research and implement Habitat for Humanity International's marketing campaign ideas and resources.
- Build and sustain media relationships by drafting and distributing press releases to appropriate outlets.
Basic Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong passion for Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity's mission.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and solve problems effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, Constant Contact, social media platforms, and project management tools.
- 2 years of demonstrated success in marketing, communications, or related fields preferred.
- Graphic design skills are preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation for occasional travel.
