Adreonna entered Iowa Heartland’s Homeownership Program because she has to deal with landlords that don’t want to fix things in a timely manner, but still want their rent money on time. “Me and my kids needed something better and I was determined to get it!”, she said. “Now we have something to look forward to.” Adreonna added. She wants to purchase a forever home so that her kids have a nice place to grow up. When asked what she would tell someone that was in a similar situation to hers, Adreonna said, “Be encouraged. Put in the work to get what you want. Don't give up!”
