Karla entered Iowa Heartland’s Homeownership Program hopeful for better days. She always wanted to own a home, but wasn’t sure how to go about it. She worked on improving her spending habits and paying off debt to increase her credit score and was approved to our program in January 2020! Karla is already picturing her daughter and herself in their new two-story home and her daughter has already thought about how she wants to decorate her bedroom. Karla has started to complete her sweat equity and she said,“I got to know so many great people that are in the same process as me.” She also noted, “I’m so grateful for all the people that come out and volunteer with us. I pray that god bless each and every one of them.”
