When you purchase the Make it a Double Wash for $15 (normally $26), 50% goes directly to Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity. New this year: The Community Crate is an interactive housing exhibit exploring Iowa’s affordable housing challenges through local data and expert stories. Thanks to support from the Otto Schoitz Foundation, the exhibit will be available August 19–20 in the Waterloo Center for the Arts parking lot. We invite Sites & Bites attendees to arrive a few minutes early or stay a little later to explore the exhibit and gain a deeper understanding of housing issues in our community.
Please arrive 30 minutes early to enjoy bites, drinks, mingle with staff, and experience The Community Crate before your tour begins. Tours last approximately 1.5–2 hours.

Explore a flavorful tour on the streets of Independence while supporting Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity.
This fundraising event includes tasty appetizers and cocktails/mocktails while learning about Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity and the support they provide in Buchanan County. Registration starts at 4:30 p.m. with your opportunity to view and bid on silent auction items.
The fun starts at 5:00 p.m. at The Crowbar and will transition to the next location every twenty minutes as you drink, eat, shop and support your way through the night. Final silent auction bids will end right before closing remarks at 8:00 p.m.
